This weekend from June 5 through June 8, Lackawanna County offers a variety of community events for residents and visitors. The schedule includes the Lackawanna County Heritage Fair at Montage Mountain and the Strawberry Festival at Lakeland Orchard & Cidery. Other events include the In Praise of the Ordinary Exhibit hosted at the Waverly Community House, and First Friday Scranton in Downtown Scranton.

Additional programs include the tribute show A Man Named Cash: A Tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter at The Theater at North. Arts On Fire will be held at the Scranton Iron Furnaces, and visitors can enjoy an Improv Open House at Electric City Improv. The weekend also features the Scranton Punk Rock Flea Market at St. Mary’s, along with the Nay Aug Park Sunday Concert Series held at Nay Aug Park. For those interested in an active outing, the Stride For Pride 5K Run will take place at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail near Olive Street Trailhead.
